Creating the Art
For the railing at the top of the water towers I used the encircle feature of MathCompiler3D for the vertical raining support. The connecting rings for the top and bottom railing use the torus mesh. Besides enjoying the art, I want to the reader to be able to create the same 3D art that is provided in the magazine. The water container is a sphere using reduction scaling on the Z axis. The support rings are created with Tori. The support legs are created with cylinders and lastly the grass is created on a box with the height at .1 units. There are many other styles of water towers. Stay tuned for even more complex and interesting varieties in future editions.
