My name is Doug Hagerman - I have been developing desktop applications since 1998 and I specialize in advanced GUI development using WPF / C# both in 2D & 3D. I have held the roles of a senior software engineer [SSE], WPF C# technical remote team lead [TL}, solution architect [SA], and subject matter expert [SME].
In this portfolio you will find links to an on-line 3D magazine, installable demos for 3D written in WPF / C# , 3D animations showing Mp4 built with WPF / C#, on-demand animation allowing the user to activate animations when desired instead of being limited to a scripted sequence, parametric 3D assemblies that are adjustable on the fly - drag and drop - and animatable, as well as workflow simulation for business.
I am extremely passionate about 3D graphics. They say that a picture is worth a 1000 words - well, a 3D model is worth 100,000 words because you can see it from so many different angles, animate it, and tell a story that others can follow.
The beauty of working with WPF 3D, C# & Helix is that it seamlessly integrates into your WPF application and gives you a whole extra dimension in which to render UI content. With the combined power of WPF 2D & 3D - there is nothing that you cannot render in a Windows Presentation Foundation application.
Reusability
I author the Scientific Research Suite & MathCompiler3D plugins. With this software you can create 3D parametric assemblies that are ready to use in a drag & drop context. Each parametric assembly has custom properties built into them so that when you change the value of that property, then the entire assembly updates to match the new value. Custom 3D Parametric assemblies allow you to quickly build 3D worlds and animations. All assemblies support custom textures/colors applied to individual components. A parametric assembly uses math equations on the virtual whiteboard feature of the Scientific Research Suite to perform the positioning and resizing of the objects.
