The Inspiration
I remember looking at a picture of a simple grasshopper - well, not so simple to draw in 3D. I had to merge the concept of machine and animal into one yet still make it funny. In the beginning, I kept the grasshopper blades silver but they would blend into the original picture so I opted for red so they would be made noticeable. But a lawn mower that jumps over the grass - I mean who could resist.
