Pole and limb cutting

The angled saw box features 5 levels where you can stack pole style logs or limbs. It has a diagonal support on the back so it won't blow over. Each of the 2x6's will be 16" apart in the parametric version. Cutting top to bottom, you can move in one smooth motion. For heavier green logs start loading on the bottom.  Depending on your height and arm strength you could choose to build this 4 sections high instead of 5 as an option. If you are building this for a woodyard, then go with 5 levels and then those who are not as tall can only fill it to level 4. If this is for your back yard, then build it to fit you.

Green Elm Branches

If you are in a part of the country where elm grows (American, Chinese, Siberian, Slippery, Cedar, Winged, and there is around 20 more that I have never heard of. Speaking from experience though slippery elm when first cut it has a distinct strong yellow color to it and its even heavier and more dense than American, Chinese, or Siberian. A green elm log/branch would be difficult to get to the top level, but not impossible. With elm, there is so much wood in the branches they make excellent firewood and there are usually a lot of them. Maple would work in this scenario too.
